Training Philosphy
Wendy Fehr has dedicated her life to the study of Dressage and horsemanship, and how it can benefit the horse/human relationship. She believes that proper training can improve every horses way of going and promote soundness, no matter the discipline. Her focus is on a quiet, respectful way of riding to bring out the best in every horse. Wendy has many years of experience working with horses from all different backgrounds, bringing them up the levels despite not being 'conventional' dressage breeds. She has a talent for working with difficult or sensitive horses, taking the time to earn their trust and bring out the best in them! She truly loves and enjoys working with a variety of horses and people!
Wendy continues to learn and grow in her own riding. Over the years she has trained with numerous clinicians including: Walter Zettl, Paula Kierkagaard, Eddo Hoekstra, Lee Tubman, and now in Oregon: Debbie Evans, Heather Olsen, Kimberlee Barker, Nick Onoda and most recently Carol Lynn McArdle. Before leaving Manitoba, Wendy helped start the provincial Working Equation chapter and hosted the first clinic! She looks forward to continuing her involvement in this exciting sport in Oregon.
